On May 18, 2023, at Cloudera’s Evolve 2023 event held at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, UAE, Hari Baskar, the Chief Data & Analytics Officer at SAB (Saudi Awwal Bank), received the Data Impact Award for his significant contributions to data architecture modernization.
During the event, Hari Baskar participated in a customer panel where he shared his data architecture modernization journey, emphasizing the importance of incorporating best practices from earlier generations while embracing modern technologies and methodologies. He also highlighted three crucial industry challenges in an organization’s modernization journey: business pressures, regulatory demands, and data security and governance.
A breakout session titled “Success Story: The Legos of Modern Data Architecture,” featuring Hari and the Evalueserve team, delved into various topics, including the hurdles of growth and change, key components of modern data architecture like data temperature and artificial intelligence, and the best-in-class toolset for each layer.
